After being cleared as a Stage IV cancer survivor, I promised myself I’d start saying “yes” to more of the things that make life feel full and push me out of my comfort zone. When you go through something like that, you see life a little differently — you stop waiting for the “right time” and start thinking, why not now?

One of the things that’s always brought me joy is taking pictures of nature. Honestly, I probably take way too many photos — my camera roll is full of sunsets, mountains, beaches, and everything in between. I’ve always loved capturing those beautiful outdoor moments. And over the years, watching Carson’s adventures — the amazing videos and photos he shared — inspired me even more. He had such a gift for capturing awe-inspiring views and living life to the fullest.

I’m also a big fan of jigsaw puzzles, but after a while, I got bored of seeing the same old puzzle pictures over and over. Then one day it hit me — why not create my own puzzles using my photos?

That idea sparked something in me. I started learning how to turn my photos into digital art using different applications, and it’s been such a fun and creative outlet. What started as a little hobby turned into my small side-hustle business — Inspired By Nature — where I share my art, puzzles, and products inspired by the beauty around us.

When I started this new chapter, I realized I was living my own “Why Not.” Turning a simple hobby into something that brings me joy (and hopefully brings a smile to others, too) is exactly what that motto is all about — saying yes to life, to creativity, and to possibility.

The “Why Not” motto has a very special meaning for me. It was how Carson lived his life — full of energy, courage, and heart. Because really… why not?
